01 THE IMPORTANCE OF SYSTEMATIC DETECTION OF CANINE SKIN PATHOGENS

  • Canine skin disorders are one of the most common health problems in dogs, and have many causes. Canine skin disorders vary from acute, self-limiting problems to chronic or long-lasting problems requiring life-time treatment. The condition of canine skin and coat is also an important indicator of its general health, therefore preventive testing of canine skin disease is essential for canine health care. Recently, real-time PCR is being used for canine skin disease detection, enabling the simultaneous detection of all significant viral targets. CareDx™ Canine Skin Disease Real-time PCR Kit is intended for rapid diagnosis of canine skin disease using GENECHECKER® UF-300 and UF-340 Real-time PCR System.

02 BETTER DETECTION ASSAY FOR YOUR TIMELY AND ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS

  • This assay is containing specific primer pairs for detecting viral targets of skin diseases, such as Staphylococcus pseudintermedius, Malassezia, Dermatophytosis and Demodicosis, and can diagnose within 35 minutes. This assay uses real-time PCR technology and TaqMan® probe chemistry to detect target genes. The specific sequences of target pathogens are amplified through PCR process. Real-time amplification curves are displayed on GENECHECKER® UF-300 and UF-340 Real-time PCR system by the method of monitoring fluorescence signals generated from the reporter dye on 5’ end of the probes after exonuclease activities.

CONFIGURATION OF TEST CHIP

Standard Test Chip

CareDx™ Canine Skin Disease Real-time PCR Kit has been developed to detect pathogens of canine skin diseases. The primer pairs and probes for these multi-target genes are pre-labeled (dehydrated) in the wells of the test chip, so that the user won’t need to pipette primer pairs and probes for running the test.

  • 2-3: S. pseudintermedius
  • 6-7: Microsporum (canis and gypseum) and
    Trichophyton (mentagrophyte and ruburm)
  • 4-5: Malassezia (furfur and pachydermatis)
  • 8-9: Demodex canis
  • 1, 10: Endogenous control

Real-time PCR based but as fast as rapid test

FEATURES

Assay is designed to detect canine tick-borne pathogens at a single PCR run

01 THE IMPORTANCE OF SYSTEMATIC DETECTION OF CANINE TICK-BORNE PATHOGENS

  • Tick-borne diseases, which afflict humans and other animals, are caused by infectious agents transmitted by tick bites. Ticks can transmit a large number of diseases including Rocky Mountain spotted fever, Q fever, Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, and other complications. It is difficult to prevent or control tick-borne disease in animals as the tick-animal-tick cycle usually goes unnoticed and animals do not show visible symptoms. And in general, specific laboratory tests are not available for rapid diagnosis of tick-borne diseases. CareDx™ Canine Tick-borne Disease Real-time PCR Kit is intended for rapid diagnosis of canine tick-borne disease using GENECHECKER® UF-300 and UF-340 Real-time PCR System.

02 BETTER DETECTION ASSAY FOR YOUR TIMELY AND ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS

  • This assay is containing specific primer pairs for detecting viral targets of tick-borne diseases, such as Babesia gibsoni, Anaplasma, Ehrlichiosis and Hemotropic mycoplasmas, and can diagnose within 23 minutes. This assay uses PCR technology and TaqMan® probe chemistry to detect target genes.

Assay is designed to detect feline URTD pathogens at a single PCR run

01 THE IMPORTANCE OF SYSTEMATIC DETECTION OF FELINE URTD PATHOGENS

  • Feline upper respiratory tract disease (URTD) is a common clinical problem in cats. The viruses and bacteria that cause URTD are highly contagious, so susceptible cats can get an infection very easily by direct contact with another infected cat or by environmental exposure to contaminated objects. Since feline upper respiratory tract disease normally shows rapid progression, accurate diagnosis and treatment in the early stage is essential. CareDx Feline Upper Respiratory Tract Disease Real-time PCR Kit is intended for rapid diagnosis of feline upper respiratory tract disease using GENECHECKER® UF-300 and UF-340 Real-time PCR System.

02 BETTER DETECTION ASSAY FOR YOUR TIMELY AND ACCURATE DIAGNOSIS

  • The most common viruses that cause URTD in cats are feline herpesvirus(FHV) and feline calicivirus(FCV), while the most common bacteria that cause URTD in cats are Mycoplasma felis(M. felis) and Chlamydophila felis(C. felis). This assay is containing specific primer pairs for detecting viral targets of URTD, which are feline herpesvirus, feline calicivirus, Mycoplasma felis, and Chlamydophila felis and can diagnose within 35 minutes.
